The figure of Victor M. Londono is so particular that the study of his life and work as single inseparable unit contributes to Colombian literary criticism historiography as it shows that it is possible and necessary to build a methodology for literary analysis that doesn t break under any circumstance the trinomial author-work-context. This way, through the analysis of two key periods in his work (Trofeos and El Nuevo Tiempo Literario) the present text pretends to stablish those necessary relations to help understand in a more complex way a fundamental historical period for the contemporary studies of Colombian literary criticism, the so-called Latin-American modernismo from the late 19th and early 20th century.|
