This research was born as a way to promote positive changes regarding Citizen Culture in the students from “Nuevo Horizonte” school. Beginning from the recognition of their own experiences expressed through different means, especially artistic and cultural manifestations. Thus, the young students have demonstrated skills and talents that should be potentiated in order to identify which aspects of their own culture determine coexistence, and therefore have a decisive influence in building their own notion of Citizen Culture. This research consist of a quantitative study which helped to measure and classify some of the characteristics of the students’ environment. In addition, a qualitative study was also conducted. Interviews, surveys and observations were done by the researcher to collect the experiences of some of the teachers about their concepts, symbols and experiences regarding civic culture in the above mentioned school. Crossing this information, we proceeded to interpret the data in order to identify the students ‘expressions and imaginary related to Citizen Culture.
