The macerals influence with the gas content in three wells is investigated. The proximate analysis, and the vitrinite reflectance (R o ) were studied, besides the maceral compositiont analysis. The research concluded that vitrinite content in the wells exceed the Inertinite and the liptinite contents, reaching a 94% value, with a high volatile bituminous coal.
