In this article the benefit cost deconstruction processes (selective demolition) and conventional demolition processes in Bogota is evaluated, based studio building No. 19 Jose Celestino Andrade from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. For the total cost of each process of demolition was necessary to investigate the main generators and receivers of waste from construction and demolition (RCD), within which are the final disposal sites and businesses of sale of materials, additional took into account the costs of equipment, labor and safety of personnel for each demolition process. The total amounts of the building taking into account structural drawings, visits to the structure and data contractor for the demolition carried out with the purpose of finding the distribution of building materials and to have an almost exact budget were calculated and waste materials generated by the work of demolition. For this case study shows that the process of selective demolition is the process with the lowest cost benefit, due to the large amounts of material removed for reuse and recycle that can be sold to companies buying and selling of materials. This being dependent result of factors such as: Final Site disposal or treatment, amount of reusable or recyclable materials, building height, and time required for each process.
