In this research were determined the parameters of shape a and scale b of the cumulative distribution function type beta which are inputs of the analytical and the numerical models proposed by Ocampo in 2009 in his doctoral thesis. These parameters depend on the migration of the particles due to crushing, when this are loaded in the superpave gyratory compactor. Nine simple were tested, three were loaded with ten cycles, three with one hundred cycles and the other three samples loaded with one thousand cycles. The particle size of the samples was adjusted to the BG-Gr2 gradation specified by the Instituto de Desarrollo Urbano (IDU) for granular base use in high traffic. In this work was used image analysis methodology to give greater scope to the work of Ocampo in 2009 to analyze the migration of fractured particles, and determine more accurately these statistical parameters. To use this tool, the granular material was pigmenting with different color like Ocampo did it in his work, then realize an algorithm that identifies and compares the different pigments. The results are adjusted significantly to the analytical and numerical models proposed by Ocampo.
