Spanish Abstract: El presente articulo expone los resultados de investigacion sobre la identificacion de falencias que tienen las comunidades con respecto a la calidad en la prestacion de los servicios turisticos y el manejo administrativo de esta actividad economica. Desde alli, se propone un proceso de formacion en servicios turisticos con enfasis en las estrategias de turismo comunitario, asi como en herramientas administrativas y de gestion que permitan la integracion de los diferentes organismos y comunidades del sector. El texto aborda, en primer lugar, una aproximacion al concepto de turismo comunitario y su estado del arte. En segundo lugar, presenta los diagnosticos y la composicion del producto turistico en las localidades de Ciudad Bolivar, Usme y Sumapaz en el Distrito Capital de Bogota. Luego, resena las actividades que desarrollan actualmente estas comunidades en materia de turismo comunitario, bajo el auspicio del gobierno distrital y algunas entidades como universidades y organizaciones no gubernamentales. Para finalizar, se describen los hallazgos cuantitativos y cualitativos alcanzados con el trabajo de campo, representado en resultados tabulados de las encuestas, indagaciones, observaciones participantes y entrevistas efectuadas por los investigadores y auxiliares.English Abstract: This paper presents research results on the identification of shortcomings that communities suffer regarding the quality in the provision of touristic services and management of this economic activity. From there, a training process in touristic services is proposed with emphasis on community tourism strategies, as well as management tools that facilitate the integration of different agencies and communities of the sector. The text discusses, first, an approach to the concept of community tourism and its state of the art. Secondly, it presents the diagnostic and composition of the touristic product in the districts of Ciudad Bolivar, Usme and Sumapaz in the Colombian Capital City of Bogota. Then, the article reviews the current activities of these communities in community tourism, under the auspices of the district government and some institutions such as universities and NGOs.
