Agoston Haraszthy, looking for a suitable weather for his illness relief, arrived at South California in 1849, where he turned himself into the pioner of the zinfandel production by importing and sowing european vines. He made The Buena Vista vineyard which was designed with the best facilities of the time, unfortunately, the company was destined to get a stoppage and Agoston´s life to fail. In 1976 Peter Haywood, in an adventure to change his life, bought a land which was adjusted to be a vineyard and he obtained his first commercial production in 1980 and thanks to his strong demand, he was made to increase its production. The Zinfandel which is produced in this vineyard has been awarded and declared as The Best.
