The purpose of the present degree work is to comprehend the dynamic and the determinants to formulate a proposal for agroecological development using as principal tool the participatory farm planning that allows the establishment of models of sustainable agriculture for the small farmers of Corcega, township of La Union, North Agropolis region, Valle del Cauca. From the knowledge, life experiences and experience of the farmers in the region to perform a characterization of the agricultural production systems and the environmental impacts that they are actually causing in the community of the small farmers of Corcega. This characterization was carried on the premises whit areas under 10 hectares properties that were performing any sort of agricultural activity at the beginning of the proposal properties cohere farming families live. Posterior to this characterization of the productions systems of the community of small farmers, 15 farmers were selected in order to make the process of sensitization and training in agroecological production alternatives. To identify the properties and farmers for the process of planning and training a socialization day was conducted to raise awareness on environmental and agroecological issues and to socialize the activities and methodologies of the project with the farmers fully identified the participatory farm planning is dories with a number of priority sustainability indicators are established for the farmers from an environmental economic and social point of view, therefore the parameters for qualification are established so that each farmer rates his own property and place it on a defined scale indicator, so that later on a series of activities over the short or long term are set to reduce the unsustainability of the indicator and define the most important training needs in alternative agroecological alternatives that were identified as priorities for the property and they are performed simultaneously to the training process.
