The aim of this article is to show how the questions or know to ask, generate Critical Thinking; the tenets of Socrates, Freire (1994) (1997), Lipman (1991) (1992) (1998) and Paul (1993) (1996) (2003) followed. In its proposals these authors used the question as intellectual tool par excellence for the development of deep thinking, self-directed, reflective, systematic; These characteristics of a critical thinker. In addition to analyzing the position of each of them, it emphasizes the development of critical thinking as a key strategy for quality education, for training to enable overcoming the current challenges arising from the problems generated by globalization and consumerism . In conclusion, it provides answers to three fundamental questions for the topic: Can you teach to think, to think? Why teach think? And, how can you teach think?
