Unlike other regions, Latin America shows some degree of cultural homogeneity among states, however there are significant differences in terms of economic development of each of them. Based on cluster analysis as a tool that allows the grouping of sampling units according to a multivariate data set, this paper validates the differences between the nations of the region and based on these are categorized according to their degree of development (high, medium, low and poor), from the Millennium Development Goals for 2009 data.
