The study presents the results of the implementation of a proposal teaching focused on learning gases, with students of tenth grade of Marsella IED School in Bogota City. The proposal was structured around some activities of a different kind, aimed to understanding and analysis of physical and chemical phenomena of gases and their behavior micro and macroscopic, framed in the development of cognitive-linguistic skills of description and explanation. The results demonstrate that the planned activities within the proposal not only encourage students towards learning scientific contents related to the subject of gases specifically but also contribute to the development and strengthening of cognitive and communicative skills.
