Prolonged dynamic Colombian internal armed conflict has led to that result in certain regions of the country illegal armed groups and organized crime organizations , especially criminal gangs ( BACRIM ) which are inclined towards achieving their criminal interests through a multiplicity of wrongful acts ( kidnappings , targeted killings , massacres , forced displacement, extortion, drug trafficking etc. ) founded on the unlawful use of force as a means of guaranteeing their survival. These illegal activities have been dynamic over time , since the legal and spatial conditions have facilitated the transformation or mutation of these organizations, as evidenced with drug trafficking , a phenomenon based on the efforts and measures taken by the Colombian state has changed in its traditional form (large posters) , claiming that mainly BACRIM encausaran their dedications to the commission of other crimes lucraran fast and effective structures. Therefore , the perceived BACRIM in mining a financially optimal opportunity seen from the weak control exercised over the national territory is added to the ease of marketing in local and external field . Given this, it is important to generate a study by the description of this new criminological phenomenon in the country , especially as regards the criminal gang Los Rastrojos , and its influence on the mining activities of municipalities of Segovia and Remedios northeast Antioquia , which have large gold deposits . For this study include the period between 2012 and 2013 .
