In this research, the need to develop in students of basic educational level and means the ability to understand and solve problems involving basic operations with fractions addressed. From educational innovation strategy based on evidence, the use of technological resources was raised to support the study of these issues. The generating question was: how can influence the use of a blog with instructional videos on developing skills for problem solving in students primary and secondary education? The research method was the case study with descriptive purpose. 121 students participated in five educational areas, one in Colombia and four in Mexico. Two workshops with problems and a final questionnaire which the children were asked how they used the blog and their perception of the resources were used. The results are analyzed using a spreadsheet, with the comparison of averages. We conclude that the blog was used as a means to consult videos, but breeding them, supported them to develop problem solving skills, including understanding of the problem and verification of results and the process.
