The last decades are characterized by proposals relatives to territory as tourist attractive, integrating its habitants, resources and processes of planning and management. Valuating the natural and cultural resources of cultural landscape is the most important feature in this case. The landscape is content and container of tourist activities which valorize the authentic resources creating experiential products around traditional and actual life as a new request of rural tourism. This article presents the project Cultural Coffee Landscape in the department of Quindio, Colombia, and its incidence in the design and development of a new model of cultural tourism in the villages of the southern mountain zone based on the attributes of authenticity and exceptionality. In this case, the planning process, capacity building and participation were focused in cultural interpretation as key instrument of the product “Trails and histories of the coffee landscape” looking for conceptualize the declared heritage as territorial museum.
