Edwardsiella tarda is Gram-negative rod, appertaining to Enterobacteria- ceae family. It is often found as an infectious agent in fishes and other animals in relation with aquatic environment. E. tarda is a strange cause of infection in humans. It has been implicated in different infections, most commonly seen in patients with underlying pathologies. It was presented a clinical report of a patient with sepsis, septic arthritis, meningitis and urinary tract infection by E. tarda with sickle-cell anemia associated; a literature review was developed.
