Fortalecimiento de las competencias lectoras aplicadas a la resolución de problemas en el análisis lógico-matemático de los gráficos estadísticos para noveno grado
Large academic weaknesses in the area of mathematics are evident in basic education. Educational institutions and teachers make great efforts to design and adopt pedagogical strategies which will lead students toward the strengthening of the competencies proposal for such area. The present research raises the importance that it has strengthening of the reading competition for the analysis of mathematical statements that involve random thought and data systems, through the use of technological resources that facilitate the construction of knowledge. Students of ninth graders were intervened pedagogically in the Educational Institution Bishop Francisco Cristobal Toro, by means of the proposal for the resolution of mathematical problems originally posed by George Polya and extended by the researchers Maria Cristina Gonzalez Mazuelo and Juan Guillermo Paniagua Castrillon. The dising of the researh is experimental, with methodology presence-absence, taking two groups; control and experimental. The results of the research indicate that possess good reading skills contributes to the improvement in the resolution of mathematical problems. The proposed methodology aims to highlight its usefulness in achieving better academic results in the area of mathematics.
