Technology has permeated all areas that constitute human development and education is no exception, even for institutions such as the National Police of Colombia, requiring their processes included within the tools with which these powers are potentializing with it must be a man or woman qualified police.The aim of the presented analysis concentrates on the description of the way has linked the use of technology to police training, whereas these mechanisms to provide not only greater coverage of the education offered by the institution is achieved, but because it contributes to the process of continuous improvement and professionalism consistent with the approaches set out in the strategic platform of the National Police.In this way and in line with the identification of need, it was found that changes made within the Institutional Education Policy, have sought the inclusion of these technological elements, in line with the proposals on the use of Information Technology and Communication, as well as support elements to overcome the barriers of time and space affecting staff in different areas of the country, and also, in providing elements that reinforce the knowledge acquired to achieve higher levels of fitness in the exercise of police service.
