This study was carried out western of Medellin on the San Jeronimo fault zone and it’s traces. Within this study, we characterized, analyzed and described the morphotectonic features, indicators of recent active tectonic, after a detailing analyses on aerial photographs in different scales and outing to discard other origin to the trait. We found some features such as offset drainage channels, deflected ridges and fault ridges. Although to our conditions of overprinted deformation and tropical climate, the landscape morphology is altering, we need detail analyses to conclude which one of these trait are evidence of recent active tectonic. Is necessary show so important is geomorphic markers in fluvial system to quantify the recent active tectonic.
