This research aimed to show how the use of netiquette favors the development of attitudes of respect and tolerance among users of social network Facebook . For this purpose a working group called netiquette project , consisting of 12 young people aged 10-15 years in different educational contexts are created , which are on a low medium Bogota , Zipaquira and middle socioeconomic level Lenguazaque . It given the conditions of this group , we chose to use the virtual of ethnography and investigating were part of the group and its work was eminently virtual. From the observation of the work was evident that there is a close relationship between courtesy and communication processes , therefore, the use of netiquette , as a method of virtual courtesy, ends up being an element that helps to develop respect and tolerance in students through the qualification of such processes , this because the relationship between netiquette and communication processes is given by the concept of conversational strategy that matches highlighted the special nature of the relationship that binds two or more speakers in a verbal encounter , in this case virtually.
