Abstract:

This paper presents the origins, foundations, and exemplified central components of a netcourse on online facilitation named MODELA. The essay reflects on personal and institutional impact, and lessons learned from the process. This netcourse was offered by Metacursos with technical and logistic support from Technologic University of Pereira, to faculty members and instructors from Colombian higher education institutions who accepted a tuition scholarship from the National Ministry of Education. This document illustrates how effective participants in online courses could achieve high levels of performance in courses as MODELA, and brings to the table contextual elements that can have impact on online course effectiveness.
