This paper addresses the application of the figure of dolus eventualis in Colombia from the analysis of some sentences that the Corte Suprema de Justicia has issued in this respect, in a time frame that includes the Criminal Code of 1980 and Act 599 of 2000. Previously, a presentation of the discussions that have taken place in the doctrine on this figure is briefly considered.
