This article is based on the discernment by students who are part of the Arkeion group of young researchers on archival science, according to the discussions and meetings held during their work sessions. The group has had two stages: the first one refers to its shaping process and the second one to its establishment. It is made by students from different semesters of the Information Systems and Documentation Program; some of them became involved during the first stage, and others have joined during the current process. The evolution of information sciences has undoubtedly led to the need to make a critical reflection on different topics regarding our current situation (the evolution of archival science is linked to the impact of new technologies), inquiries required by the archival activity in order to transform itself and to determine new paths for conceptualization and acting.
