This article discusses the results of the study of the relationship between spatial configuration and safety in the area of public space in La Candelaria, Bogota D.C with the help of ICT tools in Space Syntax, in 2012. The starting point for this analysis comes from the concern to understand the relationship between space and society. This was based on approaches and strategies to study the relationship of physical space in cities and safety scenarios, also, in the use of ICT tools for site mapping analysis, georeferencing of crime statistics in areas of geographical concentration; Space Syntax applications for a better understanding of the inherent relationships of integration and segregations, in the spatial configuration of the Area. It concludes that it has a correlational effect, associated with other factors such as land use, topography or occupation, among others. It has not a causative effect where integration equals security, or insecurity equal segregation, or vice versa.
