Characteristics physicochemical from the coal and biomasses differ between theirs and they depend of the region from which they come. Cogasification means gasification of two or more materials mixed with different properties, this mix create a synergy between both materials, which can change the kinetic behavior. The aim of this work was studied the possible synergy effect between rice husk and coffee husk with Nechi coal during gasification with steam. To obtain the cogasification kinetic parameters from biomass and coal mix with water steam was carried out in a fixed bed reactor and gasification temperature was between 750 and 850 °C. These parameters were determined fitting the nonreacted core model and modified volumetric model, from the weight loss values with the time of contact between the mixture and the gasificating agent. The obtained results revealed that mixtures with major percentage of coal (90 % Coal 10 % Biomass) both models were fitting, throwing activation energy values between 60.226 and 106.38 kJ/kmol. Nevertheless, for the mixtures with high place contained of biomass (20 % Coal 80 % Biomass) only the diminishing nucleus without reacting model was fitting
