In the present review article, information and communication technologies (ICT) are equivalent to determiners of organization and information society, starting with their key role in organizations, from their uses and functions, as well as their interrelated duties, processes and products. Therefore, the nature of technology, information and communication is primarily approached from philosophy and epistemology fields. In second place it is shown the way an ICT trans-disciplinary study has been elaborated, grounded in the emergence and exhibition of new technological disciplines. Finally, there is a mention to some theoretical postulates regarding contemporary sociological determination of some of the most important scholars of society.
