RESUMEN Este articulo es una reflexion sobre el carnaval, en particular en Barranquilla, como espacio para la transgresion de la norma socialmente institucionalizada, incluida la discriminacion de genero. La reinvencion de las relaciones de genero se manifiesta en las distintas comparsas, disfraces y el resto de alegorias que forman parte de esta celebracion. Aqui se transgrede la impronta de la cultura patriarcal y judeocristiana que subordina y excluye a la mujer y la poblacion LGTBI. En las carnestolendas, los hombres asumen los roles de las mujeres y viceversa, sin ningun tipo de tabu o miedo a la estigmatizacion. Sin embargo, tambien hay escenificacion de la vision tradicional de la mujer. El carnaval es un acto libertario del espiritu y el cuerpo para seguir reinventandose la vida en la equidad como un derecho humano inalienable. Palabras clave Genero, Carnaval y Reinversion. ABSTRACT This article is a reflection on the carnival, in particular in Barranquilla one, as a space for the transgression of socially institutionalized norm, including the gender discrimination. The reinvesment of gender relations is manifested in the various parades, costumes and other allegories that are part of this celebration. Here the imprint of the patriarchal and jewish-christian culture which subordinates and excludes women and LGBTI population is transgressed. At the carnival, men assume the roles of women and vice versa without any taboo or fear of stigmatization. However, there is also a staging of the traditional view of women.
