This article examines the organization of Latin American urban system in the context of globalization process. The world city approach is utilized. The paper develops a short dissertation on global and world city theory and the urban change process. A general evaluation of the world system of cities is initially presented. The report finishes with an analysis in detail of Latin American urban system where the interurban fluxes and the urban hierarchy are emphasized.
