Apparel SMEs in the city of Cali have the potential to be productive and competitive at national and international level, however, problems associated with innovation management and productive improvement are presented because of the inadequate or none existent training of its human talent. An integral training strategy was designed taking as main reference cluster leaders in textile - apparel -design and fashion industry from Medellin, which is the city leader of the sector in Colombia. Also, information on best practices in technological-productive improvement was collected in order to be applied in the SMEs through training, essentially in its contents. It is conclude that the main impact is to strengthen the knowledge of the SMEs in the apparel sector to train its human talent, which generates organizational learning that will be reflected in productive improvement, innovation and major productivity of the SMEs.
