High performance liquid chromatographic method (HPLC) has been standardized and validated for the quantification of silver sulfadiazine 1% in a cream formulation, which is based on the official method mentioned in United States Pharmacopoeia (USP 30). The report of validation indicates that the HPLC analytical methodology has specificity, linearity (12 – 20 μg/mL), precision (CV 87.4) and it can be applied in quality control with reliability .
