A taxonomic diagnosis with macro- and microscopic characters of the eleven genera of the tri bes Chironomini, Tanytarsini y Pseudochironomini of the subfamily Chironominae, found in streams of the Sabana de Bogota and surrounding mountains is given. A taxonomic key with illustrations for these genera is also presented.
