Suicide risk in prison is a important theme of penitentiary politics agenda, because prisoners suicide rates are frequently highers than in general population. In according to research, suicide behaviors are more frequents in youth prisoners, drug abusers, people with previous mental diseases, but not with depression. Also, both legal process difficulties and imprisonment variables are risk factors of self-damage, like a way for receive institutional support and responses. From this view, a questionnaire about suicide indicators and associated risk variables (psychopatology, everyday stressors, emotional climate, family career indicators and drug abuse) was applied to prisioners from fith Bogotan jails and counties (n=400), With regression analysis, results showed a relationship between risk suicide with a lower age, more difficulty for prison norms adaptation and past phisic health and sexual problems.
