The purpose of the investigation was to identify procedures of promotion and prevention performed by speech therapists in health first and second levels in the city of Bogota, also the description of strategies, characteristics, populations, areas of performance, management protocols, and the development of interdisciplinary work in these actions and levels of care. The method used was indirect observation through a survey of speech therapists, who focus on developing communication and promotion of wellness and prevention of communicative disorders in health in the first and second levels. For this investigation we needed the participation of speech therapists working in health institutions, first and second levels and developing promotion and prevention programs, selected by convenience non-probability sampling and geographically located in the city of Bogota in health scenarios.Key words: promotion procedures and prevention, health levels, language pathologist.
