Acercarse a estas realidades implica localizarlas en un mundo amplio como es Africa, y en este caso en particular, la separacion de dos sociedades que conviven desde milenios en los territorios de Sudan esta marcada por diferencias fundamentales. EnglishThe conflict in Darfur is one of the principal humanitarian dramas of the modern world. This fact, precisely, is a characteristic in the international relations the world maintains with Africa, and which affect the role, mission and function of the new world order. The �embarrassment� or discomfort of the �big countries� when it comes to humanitarian tragedies reflects the lack of control that these countries are willing to assume. It shows that a unipolar world is still an illusion. Getting close to these realities implies localising them in the wider world that is Africa and in this case in particular, the separation of two societies that have lived together for millennia in the territories of Sudan is marked by fundamental differences.
