Organisational culture infl uences members' behaviour and therefore organisational performance. The specialised literature has documented a variety of performance outcomes related to specifi c characteristics of organisational culture profi les. This paper reviews the similarities and differences existing among organisations of higher and lower performance profi les as they relate to specifi c characteristics of their cultural profi les. The organizations examined belong to a sample of 66 organisations located in Bogota, Colombia. The study is founded on the Organisational Culture Model of Daniel Denison. This model describes and applies a theory of culture related to behaviour and performance from a managerial perspective oriented to the attainment of results which are critical for the survival and viability of organizations.
