120 patients who had been treated routinely for perforating injuries to the colon by primary suture between the years 1953 to 1960 at the Hospital San Juan de Dios , of Bogota , were rechecked. A statistical comparison was made with publications of the United States and the utility of this treatment is confirmed. The management of these cases is described.
