Resumen: El objetivo del presente ensayo es develar la poetica de Raul Gomez Jattin; para tal fin he estudiado el lenguaje y las imagenes de su obra, reflexionando sobre las diferentes obsesiones del poeta entre las cuales encontramos: 1. El problema de la identidad. 2. La otredad y la poesia conversacional 3. La oralidad y el habla coloquial. 4. El desarraigo y el exilio interior y exterior; la prision. 5. Lo grotesco y lo escatologico; la zoofilia. 6. La muerte. 7. El tiempo y la memoria. 8. El lenguaje: la ironia y las rupturas acentuales del verso. 9. Y la vision del Caribe. Therefore, I studied the language and the images of his work, thinking over the different obsessions of the poet, such as: 1.The problem of identity. 2. Otherness and the conversational poetry. 3. Orality and the colloquial discourse. 4. Uprootlessness and the inner and outer exile. 5. The grotesque and the scatological, zoophile. 6. Death. 7. Time and memory. 8.
