From a nursing situation with burnt patients in the assistance hospital area, a theoretic-conceptual analysis is developed, where it is evident the care value supported by principles from philosophy, ethics, epistemology and theory as a contribution for scientific development of nursing profession. The work was pursued in the Burns Unit of Simon Bolivar Hospital, city of Bogota (Colombia) on August 5 2005.
