One of the most relevant indicators in a financial analysis is the outcome of the ECONOMIC VALUE ADDED EVA because it determines the remaining value between the total income and the deduction of the expenses including the opportunity cost of the capital and the taxes. This is the reason why private companies use this indicator to measure the efficiency and the management that had been done at a certain moment in order to show if it is sustainable in the long term. This is why it was consider necessary to diagnose if the public companies have this indicator as a source for making decisions or if only the traditional financial indicators are included as reference.
