Los datos obtenidos resultaron ser estadisticamente signifi cativos e indican que es factible obtener cantidades importantes de azucares a partir de los sustratos estudiados, asi como tambien que la paja de trigo posee un mayor porcentaje de materiales totales hidrolizables, mientras que el maiz reacciona mas rapidamente. EnglishThree of the most abundant agro-industrial cellulosic types of waste (wheat straw, barley straw and maize waste) were exposed to acid hydrolysis with sulphuric acid diluted in different concentrations and reaction times, according to an experimental 4x3x3 factorial design, with three repetitions. The data obtained were statistically signifi cant and indicate the possibility of obtaining considerable amounts of sugar from the substrates examined. These results also indicate that wheat straw contains a higher percentage of total hydrolyzable materials, whereas maize reacts faster.
