Lasallian Solidarity Economy research Group, attached to the Research Centre of Agro- alimentary Innovation and Development (Ciinda), ended at March 2010 a research about the management system of formal and informal rural associations in Tabio municipality, Cundinamarca. The central research problem consists in the characterization of the associative forms of small producers in the areas of production, processing and services within the agro alimentary system sub-sectors in Tabio (Cundinamarca). For this article we will show the particular case of young business leaders informal associations, Colactabio and El Hornillos Aqueduct. The research the model used was Participatory Action Research (par), with participatory workshops to establish the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and threats (swot) analysis, as well as visits on the counties and a survey model on management variables. It also took into account the database of the Chamber of Commerce and the information provided by the Mayor`s office and the Umata. At the end of the research the research group made some findings; between those they highlight in the administrative aspects, all three associations lack functional structures, as well as management models for making decisions and operating and procedures manuals. Finally they lack adequate statutes and regulations. In Accounting terms there are not mayor or auxiliary account books or account balances, neither they have adequate financial analysis, so they lack performance indicators and lack cost structure and investment budgets. Concerning taxes they lack tributary identification (nit). They are not responsible for income or capital taxes and do not declare vat nor withholding. Likewise, they dont pay the municipalitys industry and trade taxes. Financially they lack access to agro alimentary development credits because they have no capacity to fulfill access requirements for them. Concerning technology they do not use technology in an industrial scale because they lack enough resources to acquire it, and there is no support public support from the municipality in order to do so. Concerning environmental issues they are careful of the environment and the use of emerging practices does not alter the ecosystem. Other significant findings include the associations lack of strategies for achieving and winning new customers. Within these solidarity did not reflect in its broadest sense, as their activities are aimed for the majority of its members to trade achievements, leaving aside cooperativism and mutual assistance to obtain better results.
