Among those who have suffered violence, shame is a common affection, whose ambition is not just to dominate the other, but to snatch the dignity of the subject. Thus, the victims are subdued to different forms of shame: one in which the harassment points to unveil their fault; and another, over-excess” shame, which trespasses the boundary of the nudity of the body and reduces the subject to the most abject object. The tie that Freud discovered in his analysis of the smutty joke points out how the strategy of violence, besides the attack on the subject and, in particular, against the obvious difference in women who intimidate the attacker, is not achieved without bribing a third, representative of the Other who is intended to be fulfilled by introducing the obscene jouissance in the place of his fault.
