ESCASEZ DE CIENCIA, TECNOLOGÍA, EDUCACIÓN Y MERCADO LABORAL: FACTORES QUE INCIDEN EN LA CALIDAD DE VIDA DE LOS DESPLAZADOS EN EL DEPARTAMENTO DE LA GUAJIRA
Homelessness not only results in long-term psychological and traumatic effects in those individuals who undergo this situation, but also hinders an individual’s ability to gain access to the necessary resources available to overcome their poverty, such as science, technology, education, and labor market. The unforeseen and violent social uncoupling of these individuals from the norm, affect the way they used to meet their basic needs. The problem is especially critical for women due to the role they play in strengthening family bonds. To address this situation, programs focused on the care of the homeless, should include urgent intervention which would be required in the first days of crisis, as well as providing them with adequate resources that allow them access to such basic factors as science, technology, education and finally labor market.
