A new subgenus and species of spider wasps is described in the genus Ageniella (Hymenoptera: Pompilidae) based on a female from the Amazon region of Colombia. The new subgenus is distinguished from related subgenera by two conspicuous tumosities on the head. A new key to subgenera of Ageniella is proposed.
