Resumen Los recubrimientos hibridos tipo sol-gel son utilizados para crear peliculas protectoras a temperatura ambiente. Se desarrollaron pruebas de desgaste sobre recubrimientos hibridos tipo sol-gel de SiTiZr (10/20/70) y SiTiZr (10/70/20), para determinar las propiedades tribologicas del recubrimiento y el efecto de la adicion de titanio y circonio. Mediante la utilizacion de un equipo tipo pin-disco se determinaron los coeficientes de friccion. La evaluacion con microscopia electronica de barrido permitio caracterizar el tipo de desgaste. Se realizo un estudio perfilometrico para determinar la rata de desgaste. Se determino el espesor del recubrimiento mediante el analisis de la diferencia de alturas entre el sustrato y el recubrimiento. Se concluyo que el recubrimiento con mayor contenido de titanio presenta un menor coeficiente de friccion y menor desgaste. Palabras clave: desgaste, friccion, pin-disco, perfilometria. Tribological evaluation of sol – gel hybrid type coatings SiTiZr (10/20/70 y 10/70/20) Abstract The sol-gel hybrid type coatings are used to create protective films at room temperature. Wear tests were developed on sol–gel hybrid coatings SiTiZr (10/20/70) and SiTiZr (10/70/20), to determine the coating tribological properties and the titanium and zirconium addition effect. Wear tests were developed on sol-gel hybrid coatings. Using a pin on disk type equipment coefficients of friction were determined. Scanning electron microscopy allowed e characterization of the wearing type. A profilometric study was conducted to determine the rate of wear. It was determined the thickness of the coating by analyzing the difference in height between the substrate and coating.
