Aim: To determine factors associated with the living conditions of the population of the community El Poblado of Medellin in 2008. Materials and methods: We conducted a descriptive study, cross-sectional population-based survey on the Quality of Life Survey of Medellin 2008, which drew a sample of 217 subjects, divided into 152 men and 65 women, to assess the composition of the household, infrastructure, housing, health, psychology of home and job profile. Results: There is an association between all variables and the quality of life of the inhabitants of the community El Poblado, except for the variable leaving home. Conclusions: In households of the community El Poblado of Medellin living conditions prevail �Good�, which was associated with factors related to household formation, housing infrastructure, the health of the inhabitants and the psychological environment of home.
