We present the results of an abundance distribution analysis in bryophytes communities in forests patches in Quindio, Colombia; in four remnant forests between one to four ha; the forests are surrounded by coffee crop and pastures. The fit to the different models was made with the good-offit test X2. Two forests fit to logarithmic series, one to lognormal model and last one to logaritmic series as lognormal model. We discussed the validity ofthis analysis for determination of disturbance levels; moreover, we emphasized its usefulness for description of how communities are structured.
