This paper is a result of the research project: “Los Conflictos en la Universidad de Antioquia: Administracion Central vs Estudiantes, periodo 2006-2012” in this develops in the same order the categories: sources and conflict typology, in the idea of make a perspective to the causes and classifications of the conflicts that lives the Universidad de Antioquia and the ways how the Central Administration and the students had been understood and tried; the paper shows for this case, the fault of a methodology of the University for the treatment of their own conflicts, shows a conclusion and a recommendation. The sources was interviews semi-structured application to organization of students and some administration directors of the Universidad de Antioquia and the theoretical reference where authors like Redorta (2004); Schellenberg (1996); Ruiz Restrepo (2005); Fisas (2004); Correa Ochoa (2003); Gomez Garcia (2012), Alcover de la Hera (2004) y Puerta Lopera (2014).
