Correlations between the RMR and Q geomechanical classifications schemes obtained during underground geotechnical surveys at the 8.55 km length Linea Pilot Tunnel (TPL) within the Central Andes of Colombia are presented. Correlations were defined based on geological and geotechnical evidences. The correlations were statistically assessed concluding that these proposals are acceptable. The proposed correlations are expected to be useful in the design and construction of the La Linea roadway tunnel.
