Introduction. Nutritional support is the only therapeutic alternative for patients who present difficulties in eating food. It is pretended unify the concepts and develop a document easy access and quick consultation in relation to the Nutrition administration for adult patients. Materials and methods. The methodology was chosen consensus. The Colombian Nutrition Association Clinic selected the experts taking into account their participation in nutritional support groups, profession and the city where they worked. Twenty-five people answered the questionnaires and formed three groups: one to decide on the structure of the nutritional support groups, another on how of calculating nutritional needs, and another on enteric and parenteral accesses. I know design Specific questions for each topic. The responses sent by each of the experts. Yeah terminated the consensus process after the third round of evaluation. Results. Among the aspects that obtained consensus, the following are found: groups must exist nutritional support for patient management adults requiring enteral nutritional therapy or parenteral; The group must be made up of a doctor, nutritionist, nurse and pharmaceutical chemist; the patient assessment should be done daily; the functions of each member; The HarrisBenedict formula should be used in all cases for the calculation of energy needs; the ranges protein, fat and caloric intake; the material of the enteric nutrition tube must be polyurethane or silicone; indication for oral use of the enteric tube; tungsten probe indication; indication of a definitive route of enteral nutrition, which must established by endoscopic gastrostomy percutaneous with specifically designed probe; start time of enteral nutrition; management the enteric tube for administration of formulas and medicines; indications for parenteral nutrition; use of central catheters with exclusive route for nutrition; use of central catheter dressings; through insertion, its location and replacement time.
