According to new structural and stratigraphic interpretations, obtained by means of field work and remote sensing techniques, the geological map offers a new interpretation concerning the plunging of the Arcabuco Anticline near Villa de Leyva, associated with lineaments and folds, which are indicative of its complexity. The outcrop of limestones near the Samaca River is asigned to Rosablanca Formation .
